Forget the Mask For Halloween

Masks for Halloween! I think not. First they are dangerous. It is difficult to see and children could easily get hit by a car. I ran into a huge rock when I was a kid. Luckily the only thing bruised was my ego.

If you want a safer option then go with makeup. It is also more comfortable option, but many people believe that it is more expensive and difficult to do.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Have you seen the price of masks?

You don't need a fancy makeup kit to transform your child's face into something scary this Halloween. In fact, if you look around your house, you probably already have most of the items you will need to create a make up tip to ensure that your child is the scariest kid on the block.

Let’s Start with Facial Hair:

Find a wet sponge to apply cake mascara or dark eye shadow to create sideburns, mustaches, and other facial hair. You can also apply it sparingly over the whole face to darken your child's complexion.

You can create a bushy mustache or flowing beard from crepe wool (also known as crepe hair) or yarn. Unbraid and frizz it up a bit for best results. To apply it to the skin, use a safe mixture of flour and water. It will wash off easily when Halloween is over.

Don't wait until it gets close to Halloween to start planning your party look! Start buying some of your costume items now that way you can budget more around Halloween. I would recommend some Halloween Jewelery. This is probably not used by most of your guests and can really set you apart. If you wait until closer to Halloween for the decorations to come out all you will get is cheap plastic jewelery. So look for some good quality stuff now. I would recommend skull rings. How to Make the Cool Video From Yesterdays Post

Ok you could easily make a scary short film like the video with a hand held video camera. All you really need to do would be to film make your house spooky and walk around with the video camera by your face and move it around slowly as you walk around and make it look like you are looking for something. You could add some heavy breathing for effect.

You could also walk or run around some woods doing the same thing that you did above.

Once you get your video shot, open it in a video editing program like Nero and then add some scary music. If your editing program allows you to adjust the color to black and white, you may want to do that for added effect.

The ghostly figure continued to advance towards him, slowly, noiselessly, appearing rather to glide than to walk over the floor. There was an expression of the deepest anguish upon her countenance, and as she drew near to the stricken man watching her, she held out her arms towards him, as if to enfold him. The man, his horror increasing, made a quick effort to move, but in vain. He seemed indeed paralysed; his limbs, his muscles, refused to obey him.

Then suddenly, just as the ghost came close up to him and he felt, that he was going to faint, she turned quickly and moved away it the direction of a small side door. This she opened with her uncanny bunch of keys and without turning her head, disappeared. The man who realized that he would not be able to handle another night like this fell lifelessly to the floor.

OK, gather all your kids around and tell ghost stories. Turn down the lights and give your story teller a flashlight and take turns telling ghost stories. Maybe you can give a prize to the best ghost stories. If you really want to be cool telling ghost stories put in some ghostly contacts like yellow or red. You can get them at vamp fangs.
